Welcome back to True Life! With this twice-monthly series, I’ll be posting helpful tips on taking better pictures of your kids, learning to use your camera, fun ways to display family photos, custom photo gifts, etc.
If you know me at all, you know I looove me some Pinterest. Anytime I am feeling uninspired, whether as an artist, as a mom, in the kitchen or in the garden, I can always count on Pinterest lifting my spirits! There is just something about looking at photo after beautiful photo to really get my creative juices going. Today, I thought I would come and share more of my favorite ideas to display family photographs. Enjoy!
This first one gives so much perspective on finding the right size print or canvas to hang on your wall. Sometimes a print will look SO HUGE in your hands, but it can get totally lost on a large, otherwise-empty wall. Next time you are measuring your space to hang some artwork, take a look at this photo!

I adore the modern off-center matting of these photos, and the bright white against the darker blue background is so unexpected and gorgeous!

You could also go the other direction and use minimalist glass frames from Ikea to really let the photos take center stage…lovely!

You don’t get more classic than a symmetrical arrangement of simply matted and framed black & white portraits.
Finally, the wall gallery that I recently completed in my own foyer, made with differently-shaped frames in a unifying color. Don’t be afraid to let loose and really show your style!
