Welcome back to True Life! With this twice-monthly series, I’ll be posting helpful tips on taking better pictures of your kids, learning to use your camera, fun ways to display family photos, custom photo gifts, etc.
I know, I know…this is the last thing you want to hear: if you want to improve your photos, you’ve GOT to read your camera manual. I know it’s long, I know it’s boring, and I know it’s difficult to understand. But if you want better family photos, take the time to understand your equipment.

If you’ve lost your manual, search around online to find a replacement. You could also try a Magic Lantern Guide for your camera model if you’re having a hard time understanding your original model. These guides can be a little easier to understand, and they’re made for most DSLR cameras.
So go forth…read…understand…improve. You can do it!
