Nine years ago, on a cool and rainy spring day in May, I married my best friend. We’ve worked hard and gotten lucky along the way, and we are blessed beyond measure with our two girls. Life is good.
  Today, we celebrate our anniversary with those little girls at Disney World, where we honeymooned all those years ago. Funny how dreams have a way of coming full circle. (Photo credit: Bianca Palmer, A Moment Like This)

I’m away on vacation with my family this week, but I didn’t want to leave without posting this month’s What to Wear Guide! Purples and blues are some of my favorite color combinations, and I’m especially in love with the little girl dresses in this feature.

 For the last two years, WRAL’s Go Ask Mom has held a Cutest Baby in the Triangle contest over on their website. Among a lot of other fantastic grand prizes is a session with a talented local photographer (oh hey, that’s me!). I offer a Signature Session and framed print to two winners, and it’s always so much fun to meet the cutest babies and their families! Adorable Camden won the under-age-one group, and we met up in Raleigh last month to photograph him and his equally adorable (if a little camera shy!) big brother. I thought I would share just a few of Mr. Cutest Baby – he was a total doll and I loved our time together!
It’s always bittersweet when a baby graduates from the Baby’s First Year photo package. I love having the privilege of watching these little ones grow and change in that first year. I first met Gabriel when he was all of 7 days old, and now he’s a full-on busy toddler! We held Gabriel’s one-year session over at Duke Gardens a couple of months ago. I’ll miss seeing him every few months in front of my camera, but I know I’ll see him again. I’ve decided that since this family makes gorgeous babies, they’re just going to have to make another one!
