Old + New = Favorite! | Wake Forest Newborn Photographer

I met sweet little Matilda and her family a couple of weeks ago, and I must say that this was my favorite newborn session ever! Matilda’s mom Carrie is into all things vintage and girly, from beautiful flowered headbands and ruffly diaper covers to a vintage suitcase. She adores anything with lots of texture…which means she’s a woman after my own heart! (Not to mention she owns a to-die-for old fashioned pram that I can’t wait to put Matilda in when she’s a bit bigger!)

Because Carrie loves all things vintage, we thought it would be nice to do a soft, vintagey treatment on Matilda’s photos. To say that Carrie loved them would be a bit of an understatement.:)

It’s a GOOD thing when my clients cry. (Not all professions can say that, you know.)

Matilda has a big sister, Lily, who is two. And if you’ve ever been around a two year old, you know that your agenda and their agenda usually do not match up. And two year olds usually win any and all standoffs.

Luckily, Lily is just enamored with her baby sister, and was more than happy to oblige for some photos. Love these!

(Can I just say…Dad, you’re in trouble when these two get older!)

See what I mean?

So needless to say, this being my most favorite newborn session ever, I have way too many favorites! Here are a bunch more (some with my usual color as well.)

Thank you so much, Lily and Matilda! Tell your mommy and daddy thanks, too!

P.S. The Winter Newborn Promotion is still going…if you are expecting anytime in 2011, book your newborn session with me before February 28, 2011 and receive 50 complimentary birth announcements!
