How much does a Be True photography session cost?
Signature Sessions are $125, and Newborn Sessions are $150. You may also opt for an Itty Bitty Mini Session for $75. Prints begin at $25 and Signature Digital Collections begin at $350. (Itty Bitty Digital Collections begin at $225.) Contact me for a full price list!

What should we wear to our session?
I have an online What to Wear guide that you’ll have access to when you book your session. In general, I suggest families coordinate outfits and colors without being too matchy-matchy. We will discuss specific wardrobe choices during your pre-session phone consultation.

Where will we hold our session?
A lot of clients opt to have the session in their home (babies who are not yet sitting unassisted will always be photographed at home). Outdoors, I have several favorite locations that range from urban to natural. I’m always open to new ideas, as well! We’ll determine the location of your session during your pre-session consultation.

Do you photograph weddings?
No, but I’ll photograph engagement sessions! I am happy to recommend some area wedding photographers to you.

Do you photograph births?
Birth photography is gaining in popularity across the United States. I have not yet photographed a birth, but am certainly open to the idea. If you’re considering birth photography, contact me and we can discuss!

Do you photograph headshots/commercial work/editorial/birthday parties/etc.?
Yes, yes, yes, no, yes, no…you can find information about headshots HERE. If you don’t find what you’re looking for there, it’s best to email me and let me know what you’re looking for! I’d be glad to whip up a custom quote!

When should we do my maternity session/pregnancy photos?
I usually photograph maternity clients in the third trimester.

How do you schedule a newborn session when the baby isn’t here yet?
Let me know your estimated due date, and I will pencil it in on my calendar. When baby does arrive, contact me as soon as you can, and we will set up a specific date. Newborn sessions are always held within ten days of baby’s birth. Make sure you book your session while you are still pregnant to make sure we can get you on the calendar!

Do you offer holiday cards or birth announcements?
In the past, I have enjoyed working with clients to create custom designed birth announcements and holiday cards. While I love helping clients customize their cards, I’ve always wanted to offer more variety while maintaining quality and good design. So we are partnering with the talented designers over at Minted.com.

You will still have the opportunity to use your favorite Be True images, and approve a proof of your cards before placing your order.

Do you offer photography classes, or can you show me how to use my camera?
I have a basic photography course in the works for parents who want to take better pictures of their kids. Stay tuned!
