Welcome back to True Life! With this twice-monthly series, I’ll be posting helpful tips on taking better pictures of your kids, learning to use your camera, fun ways to display family photos, custom photo gifts, etc.
I was speaking to someone just the other day about creating a wall gallery of images for her family room, and it reminded me to create a post about…drum roll, please…wall galleries! (Yes, feel free to call me a dork. I fully accept my dorkiness!)
ANYWAY, you might be surprised at how many different options you have when it comes to creating a large wall display – there are hundreds of different arrangements! I have a Pinterest board dedicated to Photo Decor, and much of it is wall galleries. I trolled around to find a few to share, but feel free to check out more for yourself!
This is a great example of mixing large and small prints. I love selecting my favorite images to blow up big, and the surrounding them with other photos from the same session for a cohesive arrangement.

If you aren’t into large photos, or if you like to change photos out often, what about a couple of photo display ledges? I love the mix and match mats too.
And finally, don’t forget the kids’ rooms! I recently put together a wall gallery in Macy’s room that incorporates photos and other artwork, including a shadow box with her newborn hospital bracelet and hat. I love that I can add to it as she grows.
