I mentioned last week that I finally got started on Claire’s 3-year pictures (even though her birthday was back in February!) Turns out these photos show how much of a slacker mom I really am! She really needs a haircut, and lordy, does her dress need ironing. But you know, between the kids and the groceries and the housework and the business and the husband and the emails and the cooking and the chauffering, ironing just doesn’t get done. And I’m okay with that.

Claire is my baby, although she tells me she’s a big girl every single day. And she is a big girl, just growing like a weed. (Can’t somebody put a stop to this?!)

Her favorite animal is a giraffe, and her favorite color changes from pink to purple every other day or so. She LOVES these pink cowboy boots, and we’ll all be sad when she outgrows them.
She has a super silly side, and she hasn’t quite gotten the hang of r’s, l’s and w’s in the speech department. It’s pretty funny when she breaks out into sentences like “Mommy, doze ants are distuwbeen me.”
She definitely has a little bossy side to her too, which actually helps her hold her own with her go-go-go big sister.
And speaking of big sis…Claire just adores her. They are truly the best of friends, and I am thrilled that they have each other.
Especially on days when I just want to say “Mommy’s busy right now – that’s why I gave you a sister!”
Love you, Clairebear. My sweet, silly, sassy girl. I love you mostest!
